Former students and teachers of Penny Road Elementary

Former students and teachers of Penny Road Elementary.

20 years ago, Penny Road Elementary opened with Helen Collier as principal. Over these past years, many students and teachers have walked through the front door of the school.

Students and teachers, we want to hear from you!!

1. Where are you living now?
2. What have you accomplished since PRS?
3. What is your present age?
4. Do you have a family of your own? Tell us about your family?
5. Share a memory about your days at PRS.
6. Tell us about your favorite teacher.
7. Blog a picture of yourself now.
We can’t wait to hear from you.

Help us celebrate 20 years!!

Celebration time: Wednesday , October 28, at 9:30, Penny Road Elementary.

This is my final year at Penny Road. I will retire in June 2010. I have been teaching music at Penny Road since 1989. However, I began teaching music at Wake Christian Academy in 1974 to 1979. In 1981 I came to Wake County Public Schools and have been with the county ever since. I love teaching music and love working with children. But I will truly miss Penny Road. It has been a wonderful journey!

I'm a proud Penny Road alum, graduated in 2004. I'm currently a junior at Enloe High School, so I still live nearby in Cary. It was truly one of the best times of my life, and I miss it dearly! I still visit every so often to check on my teachers and see how things are going. Congratulations, Penny Road, Happy 20th birthday!
